The main document to be drafted is the transfer, but in some cases, for example where a parent is gifting a property but would rather have some formal confirmation that he or she can continue to live there, a lease-back from the relative may be required. Another document that is often discussed is a trust deed, to record joint owners' interests in a property, whether equal or otherwise, and to stipulate what will happen should they part or wish to buy the other person out.
