In most circumstances you must have service of one year in your job to pursue your claim. You also need to be aware that you should make your application to the Employment Tribunal within three months of the date of termination of your employment. It is sometimes possible to extend the time limit to six months but you should act quickly to avoid late submission of your claim.
We can advise you in the initial stages and throughout the Tribunal process with regard to procedure and settlement. We appreciate that problems at work or losing your job can be stressful and lead to consequent financial and other difficulties. We can provide sensitive support and advice throughout the process.
We can offer free advice under the Legal Help scheme depending on your financial circumstances. Alternatively you may have insurance, which could contribute towards your costs and in certain circumstances we offer contingency (no win/no fee) agreements.
Furthermore we are on the panel of Solicitors for the equal Opportunities Commission.
