In anticipation of marriage, if you would like to document any agreement with your partner as to the division of financial assets should your relationship fail, we are able to prepare a Prenuptial Agreement on your behalf.

Such an agreement is not binding on the court in the event of a divorce but will be a significant factor that the court will take into account at its discretion. Each party must have independent legal advice and provide full disclosure of all assets. The Prenuptial Agreement must be completed at least twenty one days before marriage.

If children are born to the relationship and the Agreement does not financially provide for them, it is unlikely that the court will abide by the terms.
